Description
This unique tour takes you on a journey of discovery along the South Side of the River Thames. We start just south of the Tower Bridge at Shad Thames the area that Charles Dickens chose as Devil’s Island for his novel Oliver Twist. Then it is on to one of London’s Hidden Treasures, Rotherhithe Village home to the Mayflower Pub. It was from here that the Pilgrim Fathers set sail bound for America. Next is Deptford home to King Henry VIII’s shipyard and some mysterious skulls. When we arrive in Royal Greenwich you will see the famous Clipper Ship, The Cutty Sark known as the “Greyhound of the Sea”. You will marvel at the architecture of the Old Royal Naval College designed by Sir Christopher Wren. We will take you into Greenwich Park, the oldest Royal Park in London and home to the Royal Observatory. Have your cameras ready for one of the best photo opportunities in London. Take in panoramic views of Old Father Thames snaking in and out of Greenwich and superb London views.
All this and too much more to mention, this tour will give you an experience outside of Central London and memories you will cherish for ever.
